Health Surveillance - Audiometry and Spirometry
The Control of Noise at Work and COSHH regulations, place responsibility on the employer to reduce and/or prevent exposure to harmful levels of noise and to dust, fumes and irritants. Employers have a 'duty of care' in adopting an early detection mechanism of regular screening through audiometry and spirometry testing. These screening records can also be used to reduce liabilities in respect of industrial claims for compensation.

Envirocare provides a screening method to detect early damage to hearing from exposure to noise (audiometry). Noise regulations stipulate employees that are exposed to noise levels at 85dBA and above must have their hearing screened by their employers. COSHH regulation specifically state that employers have a 'duty of care' to employees that are exposed to respiratory senitisers because they are at a higher risk of a reduction in lung function from exposure to dust, fumes and irritants. Envirocare provides a screening method to detect early damage to lung function from exposure to respiratory senitisers (spirometry).
