Asbestos Building Surveys and Asbestos Management
Between the 1950s and 1980s, Asbestos was used extensively throughout the UK as a building material. Since then, a record number of people working in the industries like shipbuilding and railway engineering have died as a result of Mesothelioma, which is a cancer caused by Asbestos fibres, and asbestos related lung cancer, and the number of deaths is set to increase in the future. Without the appropriate measures taken, workers involved in the refurbishment, repair or maintenance of buildings, such as plumbers, carpenters and electricians, remain at constant risk of contracting Asbestos related illnesses, causing their employers to pay the price.
Our comprehensive services include:
- Type 1, 2 and 3 surveys conforming to the latest HSG264 methodology and standards
- Risk assessment for the asbestos materials discovered
- Management policy for identified Asbestos containing materials
- Annual asbestos reviews and updates of management plans.

Surveys & Management Solutions
Under the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations (CAWR) all owners and occupants of commercial buildings built prior to 2000, have a duty to manage asbestos containing material (ACM) in the building. Therefore owners and occupants have a legal duty to have the correct procedures in place to deal with asbestos. An asbestos survey is usually required to locate and identify ACM.
Envirocare is an experienced provider of hassle-free asbestos surveying, identification and risk assessment. If asbestos is identified, we can set up a management action plan to deal with asbestos containing material.
We offer an independent asbestos survey and suggest ways of managing and reducing the risk of ACM and suggesting the way forward that is compliant and cost effective.
