Case Studies
Company: A multinational manufacturer of circuit boards used hazardous chemicals as part of their production process and therefore was required to monitor fumes and irritants at the workplace to comply with COSHH regulations.
How we helped: Our on site COSHH assessment and air sampling revealed high levels of sulphuric acid in the air - which if left uncontrolled would be harmful to health. Our recommendations were to reduce employee exposure to these chemicals by using local exhaust ventilation as a means of extracting these fumes from the premises.
Result: We gave specific advice on the type and positioning of the LEV to be as effective as possible in extracting the fumes. Our analysis included a risk assessment and suggestions on updating the Health & Safety Policy.
