Environmental Noise Assessments & Vibration Testing
Environmental Noise Assessments
Environmental noise can be a problem for any business that emits noise into the environment, no matter which industry sector they are in. Noise that is generated from production processes, construction or traffic movements may be required to be measured and assessed for IPPC applications, local authority permits and in response to statutory nuisance complaints or planning applications.
Envirocare consultants are experienced in the measurement and assessment of environmental noise from a wide range of industrial sectors. We can assess environmental noise in all types of workplaces to match client requirements.
- Specific and background noise measurements for IPPC applications
- Noise monitoring for compliance with limits
- Surveys from existing sites to determine compliance with planning conditions e.g. BS 4142 and PPG 24.
Hand Arm Vibration Assessments
We carry out vibration monitoring to enable compliance with the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005. This states that there is a requirement for companies to monitor and where practical, prevent or reduce the exposure to vibration risks.
We use specialist instruments to measure hand arm vibration (HAV) levels for hand held equipment and whole body vibration (WBV) for fork lift trucks and other methods of transportation. The results are generated using complex calculations to establish the vibration levels and subsequent risk levels for particular tools and equipment.
