MCERTS Gas standards ISO10849 and ISO12039
29/2/2008
Change in MCERTS Gas standards ISO10849 and ISO12039 (Oxides of Nitrogen, Oxygen and Carbon Monoxide)
The MCERTS Gas Standards ISO10849 and ISO12039 introduced in September 2007 have been replaced by tighter quality standards BSEN14792, BSEN14789 and BSEN15058 in January 2008.
The gas standards for oxides of Nitrogen, Oxygen and Carbon Monoxide have been introduced to ensure more comprehensive calibration techniques. This more advanced technique validates results where calibration is to a relevant degree of accuracy (where > 5% variation occurs, results should be discarded). The new gas standard also stipulates a preliminary assessment to assess the suitability of the sampling location.
For all MCERTS combustion process where permitting requires the monitoring of oxides of Nitrogen, Oxygen and Carbon Monoxide the new standard will apply. For further information please contact Craig Batty on 01274 738668 or email craig@envirocare.org.
