 UKAS accreditation - as seen on Edie

UKAS is an independent body that audits testing laboratories against the required standards. Workplace air testing and occupational noise surveys are specialist areas of monitoring that use highly sophisticated equipment, require complex methodologies, calculations and experienced and trained consultants. Therefore, it is crucially important to ensure that measurements are undertaken to high standards and UKAS accreditation reassures you of that. It ensures quality of work, accuracy of measurements and our expert advice is based on true and realistic survey results that stand up to scrutiny by others.UKAS accreditation EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for occupational noise surveys, which we are on track to achieve by this by December, will assure the client that Envirocare will provide a quality and competent service to fully assess the noise levels in the workplace. Having the accreditation means we will provide a comprehensive report with practical recommendations to assist in meeting responsibilities regarding noise exposure to employees, in addition to making the working environment a safer and better place in which to work. Our UKAS accreditation will be for the in-house standards that we developed, and are based upon the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 and other HSE guidance on the subject.
The measurement of dust and fume exposure to employees in the workplace air is carried out by our consultants and our UKAS accreditation for this monitoring will demonstrate that the service we provide is to the latest regulations and HSE guidance on the specific dust or fume under test. Our accreditation will be for the in-house standards that are based on HSE methodologies and with reference to the COSHH Regulations.
