Workplace Noise Assessments
According to The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005, these must include 3 elements:
- Static measurements to map and zone all significant noise sources
- The calculation or measurement of personal exposure
- Frequency analysis of major noise sources to determine the effectiveness of hearing protection provided.
Envirocare’s experienced consultants undertake static mapping to provide a colour coded diagram, and measure personal exposure using dosemeters. The comprehensive report provides not only the results but recommendations on reducing exposure to noise.

These example reports are tasters of the type of report that you would receive following commissioning of such testing work at your premises. As you can see it includes the requirements of the regulations and guidance for thorough testing and assessment to help you in gathering information to control your risks. They include plenty of useful information in the discussion and recommendations to help provide you with cost effective solutions to your problem areas.
Health Surveillance for Noise Exposure - Audiometry
The Control of Noise at Work Regulations place responsibility on the employer to reduce and/or prevent exposure to harmful levels of noise. Employers have a 'duty of care' in adopting an early detection mechanism of regular screening through audiometry testing. These screening records may also be used to reduce liabilities in respect of industrial claims for compensation.
Envirocare provides a screening method to detect early damage to hearing from exposure to noise (audiometry). The Control of Noise at Work Regulations stipulate employees that are exposed to noise levels at 85d(B)A and above (as a daily average) must have their hearing screened by their employers.
